Have you ever noticed that there’s a particular attachment to soul, funk, and R&B from the 60s and 70s which seems to resonate through the generations? Something about the accessibility of the music, the depth of lyric, and underlying sense of fun and drama. Whilst difficult to explain, this feeling is the exact same emotion which sits at the heart of PASKO’s work – and we are proud to say that he is this week’s featured artist.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, his creative influences include Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Sting, Rufus Wainwright and Allen Toussaint. His sound, though, moves well beyond those which give him inspiration, to delicately land into an artistic space which is very much his own.
Turns out this formula has led him on a journey of significant success from mainstream TV and radio airtime, through to live performances at the Sydney Opera House. 2017 saw the release of a full album with ARIA award winning artist Ray Goodwin entitled The Lonesome Traveller.
PASKO epitomises the depth of talent we have right here in Australia and we are proud to call him one of our Six8 artists. Make sure you check out his work and don’t miss your chance to book him on the Six8 platform.
